Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026. This policy explains how personal data is processed through this website and related services. Please read it together with our Cookie Policy.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the controller is responsible for personal data collected through this site.
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data is:
Maria Raluca Petrisor-Marinescu
acting as a natural person providing relational coaching and psychotherapy (in training) services. I do not currently operate through a legal entity (e.g. LLC); accordingly, there is no company registration / tax ID (CUI) stated in this policy for that purpose.
Address: Romania (exact location for in-person sessions, if any, is shared when scheduling).
Email: mariaraluca1997@gmail.com
Phone: +40 745 759 848
2. Data we collect
We may collect the following categories of data:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- phone number (if you provide it);
- messages sent via contact forms and related correspondence;
- selected service or subject of your request;
- technical data when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed (where available via hosting or enabled analytics tools);
- site language preference (stored locally in the browser, e.g. localStorage);
- data you enter in third-party scheduling tools (e.g. Calendly), processed by that provider under their policies.
Sensitive information. Given the nature of the services, your messages may include information about emotional wellbeing or mental health. Such information may qualify as special categories of data and is handled with a high level of confidentiality as required by law.
3. Legal bases for processing
We may rely on:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — e.g. where you agree to submit a form or to non-essential cookies;
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — e.g. responding to requests, site security, or reasonable service improvement, within legal limits;
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — at your request, for scheduling and delivering requested services;
- Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — e.g. accounting and retention rules where invoicing or statutory records apply.
For special categories of data in messages, where the law requires it, processing may be based on explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) and/or other applicable grounds under Art. 9 GDPR, depending on the situation.
4. Purposes of collection
We use data to:
- schedule and deliver coaching / psychotherapy (in training) sessions;
- communicate with you and respond to enquiries;
- provide the services you request;
- improve the website experience and how information is presented.
5. Retention periods
- Contact form messages / initial correspondence: up to 12 months from the last interaction, unless law or dispute requires longer;
- Client data during an engagement: for the duration of the professional relationship, plus periods needed for legal duties or defending rights;
- Billing / accounting records: as required by Romanian tax law (typically at least 5 years where retention duties apply).
6. Who receives your data
Data may be shared with:
- Hosting / infrastructure providers (e.g. Vercel or equivalent);
- Email delivery providers (e.g. EmailJS or similar) for form messages;
- Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics), if enabled;
- Scheduling platforms (e.g. Calendly), if you use them;
- Public authorities where there is a legal obligation.
We do not sell your data to third parties for their marketing.
7. International transfers
Some services (hosting, email, analytics, scheduling) may involve transfers outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on GDPR safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions where available).
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the following rights, subject to legal conditions:
- right of access;
- right to rectification;
- right to erasure;
- right to restriction of processing;
- right to data portability;
- right to object;
- right to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
To exercise these rights, contact: mariaraluca1997@gmail.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) — www.dataprotection.ro.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including:
- secure connections (HTTPS) for the site;
- limited access to data where possible;
- measures against unauthorised access and accidental loss.
No system is perfect; avoid sending highly sensitive clinical details only via the web form without agreeing on the right channel together.
10. Cookies
The site uses cookies for technical operation and, only after you consent via the cookie banner, for traffic analysis (Google Analytics and hosting analytics). You can choose "Accept all" or "Essential only"; your choice is stored in the browser (localStorage). Details: Cookie Policy. You can reset your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version will be published on this page with the date of the last update.
